53rd Annual Scientific Meeting
Retina Society 2020 VR
September 21–22, 2020
Dear Retina Society Colleagues,
The Retina Society holds the safety and well-being of members, guests, staff, industry colleagues and your communities in the highest regard and we hope you are all well. In light of COVID-19 global events, the Program Committee is pleased to announce that the Retina Society 2020 Annual Meeting will be Virtual (Retina Society 2020 VR) with a live debut on the evenings of Monday and Tuesday, September 21 and 22, 2020! Our CME accredited meeting format will adapt and evolve but our mission remains the same! More details will follow soon. Retina Society 2020 VR registration will be open to all MDs and physicians-in-training and not restricted to Retina Society members only.
First, Retina Society 2020 VR Live will be dynamic, interactive, and a new digital platform to connect colleagues, to discuss and debate interesting cases and surgical challenges, to learn from Award winning Honorees and to envision the new future of Retina in delivery of care, education and translational clinical research.
Second, Retina Society 2020 VR 24/7 will be an enduring on-demand digital platform for pre-recorded Abstract, Poster, Interesting Case and Surgical Video presentations.
Third, Retina Society 2020 VR Retina Ecosystem Exhibition will allow registered attendees to interact with the ecosystem of retina partners to learn about the most advanced and latest retinal treatments and technologies.
The Retina Society 2020 Virtual Abstract, Interesting Case and Video Submissions, and the Retina Research Fellowship Award and Margherio Fellows Award deadlines have all been extended to Monday, May 18, 2020. Abstract submission is for members, their sponsored guests, and member-sponsored fellows only. The Sponsor and Digital Exhibitors deadline is extended to July 1, 2020.
Although we will miss the esprit de corps of our traditional meeting format, Retina Society 2020 VR will create the premier source of high quality scientific and educational interchange, debate and discussion. More details to follow. Please mark your calendars for the debut of Retina Society 2020 VR Live, Monday and Tuesday evenings, September 21 and 22, 2020. We are excited to premier this virtual and digital meeting format and look forward to your participation!
